Is this Lucky 13 related to the Lucky 13 in the Castro?

Damn, that was one of my favs back when I lived in the Bay Area.
I guess the owner got a 7 figure offer he couldn’t refuse.
Curious, is there a word for “gentrification by tech bros”? Or is it just “gentrification”?

If you’ve ever had the misfortune to use the men’s room there, I’m sure you’ll agree that at least that part of the building would only be improved by a fire. I had a friend meet me there once and he ended up in that bathroom with food poisoning which is just about as horrible as the bathroom scene from Trainspotting.
Pretty sure it’ll be 8 figures anyway as that whole area has a lot going on these days.
The Alameda location only appears to be a dive. In reality they have Pliny the Younger on tap, food from next door delivers and top notch service and it’s exactly a 12 minute walk from my front door. Also it’s a walk through Alameda which is the town where the whole Down On The Street “DOTS” thing started. I literally read a magazine article last year about the brand new Alpina B7 coming out and looked up out the window of Lucky 13 to see one waiting for the light to change. Yet almost no gentrifying BS. Not yet anyway.
